Is the AI chat assistant available?
Yes, the AI chat assistant is live and included in the Professional tier. Trial users can test it right away — once your own API key is added (setup under 2 minutes), the chat appears in the Trailo interface.
Will the AI assistant use my data for training?
No. Trailo data is not used to train third-party models. Queries run through your own API key at the LLM provider; customer data stays in your Trailo account on EU infrastructure.
Which plan includes the AI assistant?
The AI assistant is part of the Professional tier — the same tier that includes the form builder and REST API. Enterprise as well. Cost model: Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) — LLM model fees are paid directly to your provider and are not included in the Trailo plan.
How does Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) work — and why is it the cheapest option for me?
BYOK means you store your own API key from an LLM provider (currently Anthropic Claude) in Trailo's settings. Trailo uses that key only for your chat queries. For Trailo users this is the most cost-efficient setup: each customer pays exactly for what they actually consume — no flat margin on top of the Trailo plan, no cross-subsidy. Your existing contract with the LLM provider stays untouched; full cost control and full transparency on usage.
How long does setup take?
Under 2 minutes. Steps: 1. Create an API key at the LLM provider (e.g. Anthropic). 2. Paste it into Trailo's settings. 3. The chat is immediately ready. A step-by-step guide is available inside Trailo; in the trial we actively support the setup.
Do I need technical expertise to use it?
Not for day-to-day use. The assistant is a chat interface — you type in plain language. The one-time BYOK setup isn't technical either: copy the API key, paste it, done.
