How long does onboarding take?+
Under 5 minutes. You log in, see sample data, and can immediately move stops and test AI optimization.
Do I need technical expertise?+
No. Drag & drop, no code. The API is optional — fully documented for teams that want to integrate.
What happens after the trial?+
You pick a plan or your account pauses — no automatic charge. Data stays for 30 days.
Am I locked in by contract?+
No. All plans are monthly cancelable — no minimum term, no hidden clauses. If Trailo doesn't fit, you can leave anytime.
Can I migrate from another tool?+
Yes, CSV import + REST API. We actively support migration during the trial phase.
Is the AI optimization really better?+
We use an established VRP approach (Vehicle Routing Problem) with modern solver heuristics. Up to 90% less planning time, up to 20% more stops per day, and up to 15% less fuel cost compared to manual planning. Results vary by operation and route structure.
How secure is my data?+
EU hosting in Frankfurt, 2FA, audit logs, and encrypted transmission. More details in the Trust section above.
Which regions does Trailo currently support?+
Trailo is currently available exclusively for customers based in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Routes and tours can only be planned within the DACH region at this time. If you operate outside this region and would still like to use Trailo, please reach out to our support team — we evaluate every inquiry individually.
Does Trailo use real VRP-based route optimization?+
Yes. Trailo uses an established VRP solver (Vehicle Routing Problem) with modern heuristics. Multi-stop, multi-driver, multi-depot, time windows, skill matching — all factored into a single optimization pass. Not a black-box "AI suggestion" but an actual mathematical optimization engine that can plan a full day or bulk-plan multiple days in one run.
What constraints does the Trailo solver handle?+
Simultaneously: per-stop time windows, skill matching (which driver can handle which task), preferred-technician rules per customer, multi-depot assignment, multi-region splitting, shift locks (soft and hard), recurring jobs with rhythm, plus vehicle utilization limits. The solver finds the balance between maximum utilization and clean satisfaction of every side constraint — in seconds, not minutes.
Does Trailo do only simple tours or also complex multi-constraint problems?+
Both. Trailo is explicitly built to cover many different use cases — from simple delivery routes to combined tours with maintenance contracts, emergency stops, skill-based assignments and multiple depots. The flexibility to balance many constraints simultaneously is a deliberate design choice, not a bolt-on feature.
Can Trailo plan service contracts with recurring visits AND ad-hoc requests together?+
Yes — that's one of the core use cases. From every service contract (maintenance, cleaning, inspection, plant care…), Trailo automatically generates the recurring appointments based on rhythm. When an ad-hoc request comes in — emergency repair, urgent pest control, special cleaning — the solver suggests the right slot and inserts the stop into the running tour without dropping the contracted appointments. Exactly the mix that trades, pest control and cleaning companies need daily.
Is Trailo a fleet-tracking tool?+
No. Trailo is primarily a planning, dispatch and field-service-management platform. Live tour status is a side feature, not a GPS-tracking solution with OBD-II hardware or telematics black-box. If you primarily need vehicle positions and telematics data, Trailo is not the right fit.
Is Trailo a last-mile delivery or parcel-routing tool?+
Not primarily. Trailo is built for field service, service technicians, POS marketing field ops, maintenance, trades and cleaning — workflows that combine routing with on-site execution and documentation. Delivery teams do use Trailo, but the product is not specifically optimized for parcel sequencing or same-day fulfillment platforms. For pure last-mile logistics, dedicated tools are a better fit.
Do I need a separate routing tool in addition?+
No. Route optimization is a core component of Trailo and included in all plans (multi-driver and multi-depot from Professional onwards). You don't need a separate routing engine or directions API alongside Trailo.
Does Trailo integrate with our existing IT landscape?+
Yes. Trailo offers a fully documented REST API with sandbox mode (from Professional) and CSV import/export. Webhooks for bidirectional real-time sync are in active development. Integrations with ERP, CRM or property-management systems are typically productive in 2–3 days.
